The ceremony was the finale to seven regional award nights around the state to pick an overall winner in each category.
Representatives attended from the Barossa, Far North, Hills and Coast, Limestone Coast. Murraylands and Riverland, Whyalla and Eyre Peninsula and Yorke and Mid North.

The Department of Manufacturing, Innovation, Trade, Resources and Energy Innovation Award was presented to Managing Director, Ian Lines, who attended the function with his family, who are also involved with the running of the family-owned business.

The Holla-Fresh owners were recognised for their development of a unique, automated growing system which has been sold around the nation.

Holla-Fresh is at the forefront of emerging technology and systems within the industry.

Through extensive research, including overseas visits, the company has developed leading edge technology and undertaken consistent research programs that have led to the design of a unique automated growing system.

The system has been so successful that in the past 12 months Holla-Fresh has started selling it and their expertise to the national market. It has established a one hectare glasshouse to produce 13 varieties of herbs and leafy vegetables in an enclosed protected environment and has installed additional heating for the glasshouse to increase product growth during winter.
